Mejbri crashed into Jordan Henderson and Naby Keita after being introduced in the 84th minute of Tuesday’s Premier League clash at Anfield.
He replaced Anthony Elanga and immediately made a splash, showing energy and passion in the middle of the park.
The 19-year-old received a caution for his challenge on Henderson and faced a second caution when he hit Keita moments later.
Gary Neville loved what he saw from the Tunisian international and was “proud” of his effort, with Man United fans greeting his brief performance.
Hannibal Mejbri, a 19-year-old boy, arrived and showed more passion and desire in 5 minutes than the rest of the team combined for all 90.
I say to bench these titled, spineless individuals and play with the kids for the rest of the season. pic.twitter.com/yyfE2RDQzN

Hannibal Mejbri showed more pride and passion in five minutes last night than the rest of the Manchester United squad, looked hungry, showed desire and fought for the crest. He was putting up the tackles, for me he would leave at Arsenal on Saturday, nothing to lose and he wants it

“To be fair, at least the guy is showing something,” Neville said in the comment. “Honestly, it takes a kid to come forward and show the rest of them how to sprint to the ball and throw a challenge.
“I’m actually proud of him. Maybe he doesn’t like the idea of โโLiverpool players hanging around him. I wish the rest were the same.”
Mejbri was only making his second appearance with Man United after making his league debut for the club against Wolves on the final matchday of last season.
Neville was able to draw a positive from an otherwise crushing defeat for his old club, with Liverpool winning 4-0.
Luis Diaz opened the scoring, with Mohamed Salah doubling Liverpool’s lead.
Sadio Mane and Salah scored their team’s third and fourth places in the second half to move to the top of the standings.
