Amber Heard’s nurse testifies to notes in which she claimed to be “jealous and anxious” about Johnny Depp’s career

Amber Heard’s former nurse testified on notes stating that Ms. Heard was “jealous and anxious” about Johnny Depp’s fame and his ability to frequently meet women.

During a videoconference recorded deposition on February 4 this year, nurse Erin Falati was asked about notes she had taken in September 2014.

The libel trial between Mr. Depp and Ms. Heard began on Monday April 11 in Fairfax, Virginia, following Mr. Depp’s lawsuit against his ex-wife in March 2019. Mr. Depp claims to have defamed him in an editorial in the December 2018 posted on The Washington Post titled “I Spoke Against Sexual Violence and Confronted the Wrath of Our Culture. This must change ”.

In one of her notes, Ms. Falati wrote that Ms. Heard had “difficulties with jealousy and anxiety about her boyfriend’s fame and the ability to interact often with women.”

On another note, Falati wrote that Ms. Heard was “frustrated” over a dinner at a restaurant, adding that her “previous reaction mechanisms” included “impulsive anger and screaming.”

In a third note, also from September 2014, Falati wrote that around one in the morning Heard was “irritable, noisy and angry” and that “at times she screamed and seemed agitated”. This was following a hack on Mrs. Heard’s phone.

Ms. Falati has worked with both Ms. Heard and Mr. Depp. She testified that she first met Ms. Heard in August 2014.

Ms. Falati’s notes stated that Ms. Heard had reported “substance abuse, including addiction to cocaine and liquor,” but that she had been cocaine-free for “a couple of years” at the time.

“The client admits a history of anxiety, eating disorder, attention deficit disorder, bipolar disorder, codependency problems and occasional insomnia,” Ms. Falati’s notes state.

In her 2018 editorial, Ms. Heard wrote that “like many women, I had been sexually harassed and assaulted when I was college age. But I kept quiet: I didn’t expect filing complaints to bring justice. And I didn’t see one. victim”.

“Then two years ago, I became a public figure representing domestic abuse and felt the full force of our culture’s wrath for women speaking openly,” she added at the time.

Although Mr. Depp is not named in the piece, his legal team claims it contains a “clear implication that Mr. Depp is a domestic molester”, which they say is “categorically and demonstrably false”. Mr. Depp is seeking compensation of “no less than $ 50 million”.

Ms. Heard filed a $ 100 million counterclaim against Mr. Depp for the disturbance and immunity from his charges.
